Good news, although a lockdown is in place for 14 days commencing 11.59pm 8 October, we are open. However conditions of play are in place. Members can view these conditions at One Golf.

Zilzie Platinum Thursday Twilight
A new fun 9-hole Stableford event every Thursday for the duration of Daylight Savings. This is a 9-hole Stableford social event starting from 2pm each Thursday. The timesheet will be blocked from this time for competitors to turn up, join up with others waiting and hit off.
This is a socially handicapped event (not Golf Australia) where you handicap is reflective of your previous performances. Scores will be on scorecards created for the event.
If you win the night, you receive a bottle of Zilzie Platinum wine, 6 points and lose 4 strokes. Then 2nd (5 points), 3rd (4 points), 4th (3 points) & 5th (2 points) all win $10 Club credit and lose 2 strokes. All those who don’t place receive 1 point and 1 stroke added onto their handicap for the next week. This is a cumulative event with Zilzie sponsoring the Major prizes for the most points accumulated during the season.

Hole In Ones - Lyn Thompson and Nick Goodieson
On Saturday 18th of September while playing the 4th hole, Lyn Thompson achieved her first hole in one. On Friday 17th of September Nick Goodieson had a hole in one on the 7th. Congratulations to both of them.
Riverside GC Junior Golf Academy
Through the vision of some passionate members, after a recommendation through the recently adopted Strategic Plan, the Riverside GC has established the Riverside GC Junior Academy.
Jason Marks, has put the ground work in to get this off the ground. The ‘Academy’ will be aiming initially to expose 10-14yo to the game of golf through 4-6 clinics. With the assistance of Lorraine Palmer, Barry Pilgrim and Troy Germane the initial group will go through their paces during Sunday mornings starting in September (post restrictions easing).
They are in the process of looking for sponsorship to assist with the establishment of the academy and equipment to run the clinics. If you have junior clubs or golf equipment which could be used, could you please contact or leave it at the club.

We are open again
Riverside Golf Course will reopen tomorrow, 10th September. The Riverside GC will be following all density and Covid 19 safe protocols as outlined by the Victorian Government. The 'time sheet' is open now for the weeks ahead.
